UsbJoystick library for Arduino

I adapted the code from Philip Lindsay aka RancidBacon so it now also make’s it possible to emulate a USB Joystick with your Arduino.

I’m having a hard time getting this to compile. It’s shooting me a bunch of these error messages:

/Applications/Dev/arduino-0016/hardware/libraries/UsbJoystick/UsbJoystick.h:105: error: ‘byte’ has not been declared

/Applications/Dev/arduino-0016/hardware/libraries/UsbJoystick/UsbJoystick.h: In constructor ‘UsbJoystickDevice::UsbJoystickDevice()’:

/Applications/Dev/arduino-0016/hardware/libraries/UsbJoystick/UsbJoystick.h:92: error: ‘sei’ was not declared in this scope

Any clue to why it’s doing this? Would be supergrateful for any insights!

ok, i’l try anyway.

I copied the contents of usbJoystick.zip (above) to my libraries directory (under my sketchbook directory), and the contents of usbJoystickDemo.zip (above) directly to my sketchbook directory.

building usbJoystickDemo results in the error
‘avr-gcc: CreateProcess: No such file or directory’

I vaguely remember using gcc some years ago, and struggled to understand it back then.

ok, up to speed now.

in the file ‘arduinoNotes.txt’ it mentions that the library can’t be built in the IDE – yet.

the following command is given;
avr-g++ -Wall -Os -I. -DUSB_CFG_CLOCK_KHZ=16000 -mmcu=atmega168 -c usbdrvasm.S -c usbdrv.c

unfortunately, I cannot get this command to build the usbjoystick library. not even by dumping the whole lot in the same folder as avr-g++.exe.
