Kasper Kamperman already had a very nice tutorial on Arduino-Flash communication with actionscript 2.

Now he has updated it to AS3 and comes with a quite handy Flash Monitor application.

In this project , an Arduino is registering people who climb along some stairs.
The steps produce sound and light which, in the end form a melody.
This melody is Twittered to a website where people can listen and download their melody as a MIDI file.

These are Arduino compatible wireless modules called JeeNode’s.
They are designed by Jean Claude Wippler and you can buy them as a kit through his shop.
There is a pre-assembled version with an USB connector called JeeLink, very nice for the receiver side of a JeeNode based network.

JC also programmed some nice libraries for these boards but you can use these libraries also on a combination of a regular Arduino and a RF12B transceiver module.

So why these modules instead of XBee, Bluetooth, 433 Mhz modules or 2.4 Ghz modules ?

Of course it depends on what you need. But if you are looking for simple, stable, low power and cheap RF modules you should choose these. The nice thing about the JeeNode’s is that they have the RF module on the board. So no stacked protoshields for the RF.

Hi there!

The new shop is online! Only selling to dutch, so i’ll continue in Nederlands.

De shop is dus online en we willen graag starterkitjes gaan verkopen. Op dit moment nog hard bezig met inkopen van onderdelen en wachten tot het binnen is Binnenkort meer artikelen: na de zomervakantie moet het helemaal klaar zijn.
De meeste startekitjes die je elders aantreft zijn vaak nogal aan de prijs, wij willen een goedkoop alternatief bieden om toch vooruit te kunnen met je Arduino.

Suggesties? laat het even weten.
